K-12 PROGRAMS
Recognizing that too many children "turn off" to science at young ages, BTCI is very involved in developing and implementing programs which provide hands-on, lab-based experiences to students and their teachers. Career exploration -- in ways appropriate to each age group -- is an integral part of this programming, which often includes opportunities to interact with Promega employees and others from the Madison area scientific and technical communities.
The Dane County School Consortium (DCSC) and BTCI are pleased to announce that our WIRED Cross Sector Grant: Enhancing Lab-Based Biotechnology Opportunities for Students & Educators received full funding! For DCSC high schools, this award includes funding for workshops and courses for teachers, training for School to Career Coordinators and support for participation in field trips. DETAILS
