Abileini is part of the Dane County Youth Apprenticeship Program in Biotechnology. She will attend Madison College for two years to complete her general education credits before transferring to the University of Wisconsin – Madison to study genetics and genomics. While at Madison College, she hopes to complete the Biotechnology Technician Program.
Abileini enjoys working as a laboratory assistant at the BTC Institute and as a teaching assistant in the course “Biotechnology in the World of Medicine.” As a student, she was the president and co-founder of the Latinx Student Union and president of Allies in Action, a student advocacy group, at Oregon High School.
