Ryan Olson, B.S.

Ryan Olson achieved his B.S. in Biochemistry from UW-Madison and spent ten years as a Research and Development Scientist working on Genetic Analysis technologies at Promega Corporation in Madison, WI.  The projects that he worked on earned industry recognition for their technological innovation, and earned for Ryan inventor status on patents protecting their intellectual property. 

Ryan’s experience in hands-on science teaching goes back to 2001, serving as a laboratory instructor for BTCI in undergraduate and graduate-level course offerings in conjunction with UW-Madison.  Ryan joined BTCI as a full-time Education Specialist in October 2008, where he has been teaching course content in support of both K-12 and adult outreach programs.

Ryan is a member of the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT) and the Wisconsin Society of Science Teachers (WSST).
