Carlos Melgar

Carlos Melgar is a senior at Verona Area High School and will graduate in June 2010.  He is enrolled in the Dane County School-to-Work Youth Apprenticeship Program in Biotechnology, which he joined this fall after completing a year as an apprentice in the finance area.  To fulfill the work component of the program, Carlos joined the BTC Institute team in November, 2009.  As an apprentice, he assists with the many lab tasks that are essential to the smooth running of the Institute's programs.

After graduating from Verona, Carlos is looking forward to going to Madison Area Technical College.  He plans on studying chemistry and hopes to transfer to UW-Madison.  When not in the lab, Carlos actively pursues opportunities to indulge in his passion for skateboarding.
